Cherry Punch has been a staple flower strain at MÜV for what seems like the entire time that they’ve been a dispensary in Florida. Patients generally seem to like this strain, notable for its namesake smell and taste of sweet cherry.
I’ve admittedly passed over this strain quite a few times, but finally decided to see what the buzz was about. I generally enjoyed this strain as well.
Quick Facts:

Unfortunately, MÜV doesn’t make their lab reports readily available, so I have no terpene percentages to provide for this strain. Whenever this information becomes available, I will update this section with the terpenes and their percentages.
Appearance/Cure

MÜV’s T1 flower is $50 per eighth vs. the $40 price tag of their T2 flower, and the $32 for T3. Per their website:
Tier 1 ($50) and Tier 2 ($40) are selected based on potency, size, structure, terpene profiles and aroma. Tier 3 is based on size only.

This seems to be a solid batch of Cherry Punch. The buds are large, dense, and covered in mature amber/gold trichomes.
The bud is a tiny bit dry, however, and not very sticky. It isn’t nearly as bad as other recent batches I’ve picked up from MÜV, but I still think it could do to be more sticky and retain a little more moisture. Another thing to note: I thought I remembered reading that T1 flower would be hand-trimmed going forward. Perhaps that hasn’t had time to fully take effect yet, because this batch shows signs of auto-trimming. All in all, it is good-looking flower.

Smell/Taste
Cherry Punch does smell like its namesake, with a sweet and almost creamy cherry smell immediately noticeable when opening the jar. There are also earthy, peppery, and herbal notes present as well.
When broken apart and ground up, the sweet cherry smell intensifies. It slightly reminds me of MÜV’s Strawberry Cough with the almost cream-like scent behind the cherry.
When smoked, the taste is very smooth and mild on the inhale, with slight hints of cherry and musky earth on the exhale.
I can see why so many patients enjoy the smell and taste of this strain. It was nice!

Effects/Medical Use
Cherry Punch, for me, is a really mellow strain. The effects are about as “middle of the road” as you can get, with the cerebral invigoration and body relaxation components being almost equal.
I did find this to be slightly lacking in intensity. The effects are there, but they are not “slap you in the face” type effects like some patients may need for various cerebral ailments. They seem to slowly taper off through time, gradually fading until they are gone.
It seems like this would be a good strain for patients who are just starting to medicate with flower, or low tolerance patients. My instinct is that patients with a high tolerance are going to need to consume higher amounts of Cherry Punch to get the desired effects, but everyone is unique and different, so this may not be the case.
Possibly good for treating:
- Anxiety
- Minor aches and pains
- Headaches and migraines
- Minor nausea/gastrointestinal issues
- General Relaxation
- Depression
I’m definitely no medical doctor, so please take the preceding conditions only as my own personal observations from using this strain and having experience with a multitude of different cannabis strains. Everybody is different, and every body reacts differently to various medications.
Effects Rating: 6.00/10.00
Overall Rating: 6.53/10.00
Overall, I would best describe Cherry Punch as a “good” hybrid strain from MÜV.
While I likely won’t get this strain again in favor of other strains from MÜV that I prefer (Slurricane and Triangle Kush are two examples), I can certainly see why this would be a patient favorite. It isn’t bad by any means!

I found Trulieves version of CHERRY PUNCH at 23% THC was exactly the same as your review. Not a stand out strain for effects but pretty to look at.
