Grape Stomper is a relatively new strain, created by Gage Green Seeds. I originally tried this strain in distillate form in early 2019; however, back then, GrowHealthy’s product structure was a bit different. Grape Stomper was still a “Balance” product, but Balance wasn’t the label for hybrid strains back then; instead, it was a line of 1:1 CBD:THC formulations – and Grape Stomper was one of them. Eventually, GrowHealthy introduced hybrid strains and changed its 1:1 line to “Relief” so hybrids could take over “Balance”.
As for Grape Stomper itself, it is said to be a slightly sativa-dominant high-THC hybrid strain, also known as Sour Grapes. Many Florida cannabis patients enjoy this strain, based on what I see on social media, and I think I have now joined their ranks.

Appearance/Cure

The batch of Grape Stomper pictured above is some of the frostiest flower I’ve ever seen; it is absolutely covered in trichomes – to the point that I find them caked on my fingers after handling the bud.
Stickiness is not especially present in this batch, but the flower is dense, and the nugs are large and aesthetically pleasing. There’s so much kief (trichomes) all over the flower, that it has an almost golden appearance, especially in certain lighting.
This batch is slightly dry, but not bad at all by any means. Overall, it’s another fantastic quality batch from GrowHealthy.
Appearance/Cure Rating: 6.90/10.00
Smell/Taste
Grape Stomper has a sweet candy-berry aroma, with an equally present earthy/peppery scent making up its pleasant terpene profile.
I find that the earthy/peppery terpenes are more noticeable when I smell the flower inside the plastic container, but when I grind the flower up, that candy-grape smell really becomes apparent. It reminds me a lot of the way grape Smarties candy smells and tastes, actually – with the earthy peppery, musky cannabis scent to top it off.
When smoked, I find Grape Stomper to lose most of its sweet berry qualities; instead, the taste of the smoke is almost completely spicy, peppery, and earthy. It reminds me of GrowHealthy’s Strawberry Haze in some ways, but I think I enjoy that strain a little bit more than this one, in the smell/taste category.
Smell/Taste Rating: 6.50/10.00
Effects/Medical Use
I’ve found Grape Stomper to be mostly energetic and cerebral in its effects, but there is a small aspect of body relaxation that is present as well. In terms of effects, I would say this is probably 65/35 sativa-dominant.
Really, the effects are even-keel and well-rounded, all-in-all relaxing. Grape Stomper initially gives me a lot of lift, but it very quickly mellows out into a more “hybrid” effect profile.
This seems like a versatile strain, great for anything from being productive to relaxing at home or outdoors. I found myself to get giggly more than once while medicating with this strain, even during a Moderator meeting for Florida Medical Trees. I don’t seem to get appetite stimulation from Grape Stomper, though, which I usually find to be concurrent with getting the giggles.
Grape Stomper overall has versatile effects that are both energetic and relaxing, and I personally find it suitable for use any time from early morning to late evening – just not right before bed, as it seems a bit too energetic for that (for me.)
Possibly good for treating:
- Depression and related anxiety
- Motivation issues
- Good for general relaxation
- Relief of minor aches and pains
- Relief of minor to moderate nausea and gastrointestinal discomfort
I’m definitely no medical doctor, so please take the preceding conditions only as my own personal observations from using this strain and having experience with a multitude of different cannabis strains. Everybody is different, and every body reacts differently to various medications.
Effects Rating: 7.00/10.00
Overall Rating: 6.80/10.00
Overall, I would best describe Grape Stomper as a “good” hybrid strain from GrowHealthy.
I continue to find myself more and more impressed with GrowHealthy’s quality consistency across all their products. As it stands, they are currently one of my favorite MMTCs to buy my products from. If you like “berry” strains or sativa-dominant hybrids, I think Grape Stomper is an excellent choice.
