VidaCann – Tikun Olam Vape Cart Review: Midnight (Ratio)

Tikun Olam (pronounced Tih-koon Oh-Lahm) is a medical cannabis company that originally started in Israel. Since Israel has allowed medical cannabis use since the early 1990s, this means that these products have much more documented research behind them – a good thing for cannabis patients looking for consistent products.

Luckily for those of us who have a Florida medical cannabis card, we have access to some of Tikun Olam’s products through their agreement with VidaCann.

Midnight is a 1:1 ratio product, meaning that it is nearly equal parts THC and CBD.

Tikun Olam’s website offers the following description of Midnight:

“Midnight is a sativa dominant hybrid that balances a near 1:1 ratio of 8-12% THC to 9-14% CBD. Earning its name from its distinctive purple leaves, Midnight represents a great option for new and seasoned users alike. Moderate levels of cannabinoids produce minimal side effects while still providing all the benefits of THC & CBD, offering clear-headed, functional pain relief. Named Top Hybrid Flower at the 2017 Canadian Cannabis awards, this strain helps treat fibromyalgia, tinnitus, Parkinson’s Disease, and nausea.”

Quick Facts:

I accidentally threw away my box before taking a photo of it for this review, so here’s a screenshot from VidaCann’s website.

Taste:

The Midnight vape cart has a very unique taste – predominantly floral and herbal, with earthy and spicy tastes lingering in the background. I wouldn’t say Midnight is necessarily my favorite cart in terms of taste, but the cannabis-derived terpenes that Tikun Olam and VidaCann use for their vape carts do ensure that this cart tastes much like the flower form of Midnight.

Tikun Olam’s website breaks down the terpene content of Midnight:

TERPENES

ALPHA-PINENE 6%
BETA-MYRCENE 55%
LIMONENE 20%
LINALOOL8%
OTHER 4%

Vapor and Product Quality

As pictured above, the Tikun Olam carts come packaged in a nice cardboard box with the company logo and all that good stuff. Notably missing from the packaging were any cannabinoid percentages or batch numbers. I don’t doubt the quality of Tikun Olam or VidaCann – both are excellent – but it would be nice to see the exact percentages as is common with most other medical cannabis products in Florida.

The cart itself is a Jupiter CCell, and it works wonderfully. I have had zero issues with clogging in this cart, and the vapor produced is very smooth and full. I appreciate the finer details like the strain name being wrapped around the bottom of the cart for easy identification. This is an issue with other carts in the program; they should take notes from Tikun Olam here.

This is an expensive product, but it is a quality product. You get what you pay for.

Vapor/Product Quality Rating: 4.50/5.00

Effects:

As most all 1:1 carts go, Midnight has milder effects in comparison to high-THC options like Alaska and Eran Almog, thanks to the high presence of CBD in this strain. As such, this is a great option for daytime use, especially for patients who need to remain more functional while medicating.

Midnight is a versatile strain that I used primarily to supplement my other forms of medication such as flower. I typically preferred to take doses of this in the early morning and late night just before bed, in order to keep a consistent regiment of CBD included with my daily medicating.

This strain does seem to be sativa-dominant in effects for the fact that the effects feel very clear-headed and focused; however, Midnight does noticeably relax the body as well. In my opinion, this is a good strain for use at any time of the day or night.

40% THC is still potent enough to bring on a noticeable “head change”, so new patients should still exercise caution and take it easy when first medicating with Midnight.

Possibly good for treating:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Minor aches and pains
  • General relaxation/relief
  • Relief of nausea and other gastrointestinal symptoms

Effects Rating: 3.90/5.00

Overall Rating: 4.06/5.00

Tikun Olam’s Midnight Cart is best described as a “high quality” product.

Due to the high price of the Tikun Olam vape carts, I will probably save my VidaCann rewards points and use the discounts towards getting these. Midnight is not really my favorite strain from VidaCann, but I do appreciate that they offer a 1:1 option, as these are beneficial for many patients.

Hope you all have a wonderful morning, afternoon, evening, or night – whichever applies. Thanks for reading the review!
