Mandarin Dreams is an indica (some say hybrid) strain that I’ve actually tried first at Trulieve (review here.)
I enjoyed this strain before, and was interested to see how it would compare at another dispensary. Overall, MÜV’s version of Mandarin Dreams is similar to Trulieve’s, but there are some notable differences.

Unfortunately, MÜV doesn’t make their lab reports available, so I have no terpene percentages to provide for this strain. Whenever this information becomes available, I will update this section with the terpenes and their percentages.
Appearance/Cure

MÜV’s T2 flower is $40 per eighth. Per their website:
Tier 1 ($50) and Tier 2 ($40) are selected based on potency, size, structure, terpene profiles and aroma. Tier 3 is based on size only.

This T2 Mandarin Dreams is in line with the same quality as the T2 Clementine I tried, with regard to nug size, trim, etc.
Compared to Trulieve’s Mandarin Dreams that I tried, the overall size and appearance of the nugs is similar – even the way the pistils cover the flower is similar. The one difference in appearance is that this batch from MÜV is lighter green in color – more of a uniform lime green. The flower is very slightly dry, but otherwise cured and prepared very well.
Based on my experience with this eighth, MÜV’s T2 is well grown and worth the $40.
Appearance/Cure Rating: 6.50/10.00
Smell/Taste
The biggest difference that I noticed between Trulieve vs. MÜV’s Mandarin Dreams flower, is the smell and taste.
MÜV’s Mandarin Dreams smells like orange cream in the jar, with a faint hint of the cheese-like terpene that dominates Chemhünd‘s terpene profile.
When broken down or ground up, this cut of Mandarin Dreams emits a very nice diesel smell, coupled with sweet orange citrus. I particularly enjoy the smell of the broken-down flower.
When smoked, I taste orange spice with an earthy undertone. Not quite as enjoyable as the smell of the flower, but enjoyable nonetheless.
Overall, this is a very nice smelling and tasting cut of Mandarin Dreams, and I think I may slightly prefer it to Trulieve’s version in this category.
Smell/Taste Rating: 7.00/10.00
Effects/Medical Use
MÜV’s cut of Mandarin Dreams seems to feel more like an indica than Trulieve’s, from my experience – though the two are still very similar in feeling.
At first, I notice uplifting and cerebral-centric effects, but a warm-body relaxation soon comes on within the first 20 minutes after medicating.
MÜV’s Mandarin Dreams doesn’t really make me giggly like Trulieve’s did; in fact, MÜV’s version feels overall more body-centric in its effects – especially as time passes.
Though it is a relaxing strain, I do not find this cut of Mandarin Dreams to be sedative, and still find it to be on the “lighter” spectrum of indica effects – maybe 65/35% indica dominant. Of particular note, this strain was a really good one for when I was feeling more anxious; if anything, it helped my anxiety through its relaxing properties.
(For reference, my memory of Trulieve’s Mandarin Dreams flower seems like it was about 55/45% indica dominant – much closer to a balanced hybrid.)
Possibly good for treating:
- Anxiety
- Moderate aches and pains
- Headaches and migraines
- Moderate nausea/gastrointestinal issues
- General Relaxation
- Depression
I’m definitely no medical doctor, so please take the preceding conditions only as my own personal observations from using this strain and having experience with a multitude of different cannabis strains. Everybody is different, and every body reacts differently to various medications.
Effects Rating: 7.50/10.00
Overall Rating: 7.00/10.00
Overall, I would best describe Mandarin Dreams as a “good” indica strain from MÜV.
