Do you ‘Member?

All South Park references aside, Member Berry is a newer strain to Trulieve. Originally released at the beginning of the year, Trulieve has had a few batches of this strain come and go, though it appears it is one of their less commonly grown strains.
Member Berry is a balanced hybrid with a nice, fruity terpene profile. Trulieve continues to impress me with their recent grows, and this is another strain that was done justice by them.

Appearance/Cure

Trulieve has been (mostly) consistent with high-quality cures over the past couple of months, and this batch of Member Berry is another great example of the positive direction they seem to be headed in.
Member Berry buds range from medium to light green, covered in a blanket of sparkling trichomes. This batch/strain did not seem to have as many pistils (the dark amber “hairs”) as most of the other strains, which I always find interesting.
This was one of the first Trulieve eighths I purchased that had no popcorn mugs. All the buds were large and at least 0.7 grams apiece. The moisture content was nearly perfect: not too wet, not too dry, and perfectly sticky. The buds were all fairly dense as well.
Appearance/Cure Rating: 6.70/10.00
Smell/Taste
If you are a fan of strains with fruity terpene profiles, this is a strain you will enjoy. Very prominent notes of various fruits: I was able to detect blueberry, citrus, and terpenes that reminded me of mangoes and apricots. This is not an especially pungent strain, but the terpene profile is full and enjoyable.
I have both smoked and vaporized this strain, and find that the fruit tastes come through nicely with both methods, but obviously much more prominently with a vaporizer since the terpenes aren’t immediately roasted by flame. The fruity, berry terpenes come through strong – not necessarily sweet, but definitely reminiscent of a bowl of fresh fruit.
Smell/Taste Rating: 6.20/10.00
Effects/Medical Use
Member Berry comes off as an almost evenly balanced hybrid to me, with perhaps a very slight lean to the indica side.
This is one of the best hybrid strains for relaxation that I have found, though it is not sedating. The effects are somewhat cerebral in the beginning, but this stage does not seem to last long before fading into a relaxed body buzz.
Member Berry, for me, is the perfect strain for early evenings immediately after getting home from work. It’s cerebral enough that it helps to lift depression or any negative feelings, but not so much that one will feel stimulated.
I found that this strain did relax the body enough to help ease minor aches and pains, but did not find it to be a standout in this category. I think that Member Berry is better purposed for general relaxation and winding down – enjoying a movie, relaxing on the couch, etc. etc.
Possibly good for treating:
- Anxiety
- Minor aches and pains
- Minor to moderate nausea/gastrointestinal issues
- General Relaxation
- Depression
I’m definitely no medical doctor, so please take the preceding conditions only as my own personal observations from using this strain and having experience with a multitude of different cannabis strains. Every body is different, and every body reacts different to various medications.
Effects Rating: 6.00/10.00
Overall Rating: 6.30/10.00
Overall, I would best describe this batch of Member Berry as “above average”.
If you’re looking for perfectly balanced hybrids to help bridge the gap between your indica and sativa choices, this is your strain. If you enjoy fruity terpene profiles, this is your strain. If you’re looking for relaxing effects that don’t pull you too far toward stimulation or sedation – this is your strain.
As always (if the product is at least “average”), I do recommend every patient try each strain at least once if they can; as I often say, this strain might be your “magic bullet” for relieving your symptoms. This is a highly individualized form of medicine. Your mileage may (and will often) vary.

I want to say thank you for sharing your observations, thoughts and experiences concerning the trulieve line of flower products. I enjoy reading the reviews posted by the collective, it has helped me to understand more about each strain and opened my mind to looking at the experiences of each strain in way I wasn’t doing before.
Before I subscribed to the collective, smoking bud was smoking bud; flavor, appearance and high were the only things that I had considered. Now, smoking is a totally different experience than it was before. I find myself using the write ups by the collective as a tool, making a checklist of sorts.
Today, when I get a strain that is new to me, I try to learn as much about the plant as possible. Being that I suffer from chronic pain, I look for strains that I can use during the day and at night to relieve; pain, muscle spasms, anxiety, depression and sleep. I have only found 2 strains so far that provide me with all of those things and that is Puck yeah (the best I’ve ever experienced in 40 yrs of smoking bud) and Sherbet. Unfortunately, I not been able to get either one of those again.
Well, I don’t want to take up any more of your time, thank you once again for your time and effort, it is appreciated by so many people.
Regards, William “Doc” Lingo
