Trulieve released their version of cannabis crumble – TruCRMBL – today, 02.15.2019. As promised, I made it to my local dispensary early this morning to pick up a gram for review. My preferred strains for my “main” line of medication are almost always sativa; the sativa strains available were Sour Diesel, Jack Herer, and Super Silver Haze. After having such a good experience with Super Silver Haze Flower, I opted to go with this strain for my first Florida cannabis crumble purchase.
Super Silver Haze is a classic powerhouse sativa strain perhaps best known for taking first prize in the High Times Cannabis Cup in 1997, 1998, and 1999. The widespread critical acclaim for this strain really isn’t a surprise when we take a look at its parents: Northern Lights, Skunk, and Haze – all notable strains in their own right. Super Silver Haze has definitely been one of my favorite strains from Trulieve, both in flower and crumble.

Appearance/Feel
As one Reddit user on the Florida Medical Trees subreddit put it: “TruCRMBL looks exactly as it’s supposed to.” The crumble itself is very “pure” looking and is a very nice waxy consistency that is very easy to work with using any type of dabbing tool. The crumble I got was as pictured above; it consisted of about 7 big pieces and twice that amount of smaller pieces. This gram weighed out to 1.1g. Overall, I think Trulieve did a fantastic job processing this batch. It looks great, and it’s a nice consistency.

Smell/Taste
Super Silver Haze crumble smells almost identical to its flower form. It has a bright aroma of earthy pine and sharp citrus, akin to Jack Herer flower. The concentrated crumble version of Super Silver Haze seems to have an even (pleasantly) sharper smell than its flower form, most likely due to the fact that like the cannabinoids, the terpenes are also more concentrated in crumble. Every smell that is present in the flower (pine, citrus, earthy) is there too, only amplified by a factor of 3 to 4. The taste of the vapor is true to the smell – a very pleasant experience. I’m impressed with how well the terpenes held together.

Effects/Medical Use
I regularly use distillate (another cannabis concentrate) in VFire pods for vaporization, so I’m experienced with using highly concentrated cannabis in the realm of ~80% THC. That being said, my first dab of Super Silver Haze crumble completely floored me – in the best way possible. I wasn’t anxious nor was I cloudy or sleepy, but I was extremely medicated. It took a good 20 minutes or so before I felt ready to go out and be functionally social again, so keep this in mind when first trying out any TruCRMBL strain; this stuff is extremely potent.
As with Super Silver Haze flower, I found my senses to sharpen and my mind to seem to function more efficiently after medicating with the crumble. Depression melted into the background with almost zero chance of creating a negative thought pattern, colors sharpened, and creative/constructive ideas came into the foreground. I was a bit surprised at how close the effects from crumble resembled those from flower. This is a great Sativa: not quite as mellow as Colombian Gold, but not at all speedy or racy like other sativa can be. Super Silver Haze’s many awards in the late nineties are well deserved; this is a classic strain that holds high medicinal value over 20 years later.

- ADD/ADHD or focus-related issues
- Good for treating lack of motivation
- Improves concentration and memory recall
I’m definitely no medical doctor, so please take the preceding conditions only as my own personal observations from using this strain and having experience with a multitude of different cannabis strains. Every body is different, and every body reacts different to various medications.

Overall, I would best describe Super Silver Haze as a “great” strain.
TruCRMBL really impressed me. In the past, I have always been more partial to flower; however, after trying this crumble today, I will definitely be keeping more strains around as a sort of “extra strength medication”, if you will. I’d highly recommend for each patient to try at least 1 gram of their favorite strain to compare the relief to other forms of cannabis medication. This is a very high quality product in my opinion. Is it the best thing ever? That’s entirely a matter of personal preference, but I think it’s definitely worth at least a “test run” from anyone.
