GrowHealthy “Balance” Distillate: Grape Stomper (1:1 CBD:THC) Review

GrowHealthy receives a lot of hype on the Florida Trees and Florida Medical Trees subreddits for their high-quality distillates, many of which use cannabis-based terpenes. The “cannabis-based terpene” is a term that a lot of people like to throw around here recently, but basically all it means is that the same terpenes (limonene, pinene, etc.) are acquired from extraction of specific strains (rather than other plants/fruits) and reintroduced into the distillate to achieve the same effects as the flower form. I will have to say that I do notice a more “well-rounded” spectrum of effects when using products that have cannabis-based terpenes, so I’m sure there’s some science (similar to the entourage effect?) behind why this is so.

Grape Stomper truly achieves the “balance” namesake; it is probably the most universal and balanced medication I’ve yet to try in the Florida medical cannabis program.

Quick Facts: Grape Stomper Distillate (Hybrid/Ratio)

THC: 43.82%

CBD: 43.88%

Total Cannabinoids: 87.70%

Batch Number: ID36 BALANCE Grape Stomper

Other Ingredients: Cannabis Terpenes

As with my other reviews, I rate this product on three main criteria. Those three scores will be averaged for a final “overall score” and basic description of the product quality.

Taste

This is one of the qualities of GrowHealthy’s distillates that seems to be raved about the most. Just about any patient who has tried both distillates with cannabis terpenes and distillates with food/fruit terpenes will testify that the cannabis terpene distillates taste much more like vaping a bowl of cannabis flower. After trying products with cannabis terpenes from both Trulieve and GrowHealthy, I can confirm that this is true. There’s a certain “fresh”/earthy quality to all of these distillates, and Grape Stomper is no different. The pungent earthy taste is definitely the dominant one by a long shot, with a very subtle secondary taste of berry/fruit. Wouldn’t say the taste is at all “sweet” in any way. Really nothing else to say about the taste of the Grape Stomper distillate – there’s nothing especially good or bad about it.

Taste Rating: 4.00/5.00

Vapor/Product Quality

Grape Stomper distillate comes in the same syringe that all other distillates I’ve tried; however, rather than having the more complex plastic/rubber screw cap, thy used a one piece rubber cap that easily slides off of the tip of the syringe. This made it extremely easy to fill a VFire pod with the distillate.

The distillate itself is about as thick, perhaps a bit thicker, than Truclear. It vaporizes well, leaving the flavor pretty well intact all the way through to the exhale. It seems like everything about this product is at least fairly good quality.

Vapor/Product Quality Rating: 4.00/5.00

Effects

Grape Stomper lives up to its “Balance” name; this is one of the most balanced profile of effects I’ve ever felt from a cannabis product. The high concentration of CBD ensures the effects are never too psychoactive or “speedy”, but there’s enough THC that the user will feel a notable shift in perception. The effects feel clean and energetic, keeping anxiety at bay while aiding in productivity. This Grape Stomper 1:1 distillate really nailed the 1:1 CBD:THC concept and capitalized on the entourage effect (potentiation) of the two almost perfectly. Of the many 1:1 products I’ve tried in Florida’s program, this stands out as the best and most well-rounded scope of effects. I’d recommend the Grape Stomper 1:1 to treat anything from anxiety to pain; seriously, every patient needs to try this product at least once, regardless of the condition they’re treating. As goes with the “balance” theme, this product is great for use at any time of the day from waking and baking to medicating before bed.

Effects Rating: 4.60/5.00

Overall Rating: 4.20/5.00

Overall, I’d say that GrowHealthy’s distillate lived up to my expectations. Grape Stomper and Birds of Paradise have been my first two strains to try, and I thoroughly enjoy both for different reasons. Hopefully, GrowHealthy will expand delivery to the Panhandle to be more often than twice a month, as I definitely see myself ordering more products from them in the future. At this point, I feel safe in agreeing with what I’ve been reading online for months: GrowHealthy has the best distillate in Florida – though I haven’t been able to try distillate from MUV yet, and they tend to receive a lot of positive feedback on their products as well. Grape Stomper really is a standout product that I will order again – in fact, I already have another half gram syringe scheduled for my next delivery in two weeks. I seriously recommend that every patient try it; the effects are that good.

I recommend that all patients reading this give GrowHealthy at least one try, if nothing else for the 25% new patient discount. I look forward to trying and reviewing more products from them in the future, and more importantly, seeing how they expand as smokable flower becomes legalized and regulated in Florida this year. Keep an eye on these guys!
